Land Clearing in Burlingame, KS

Burlingame is about 80 miles southwest of our Shawnee shop in western Osage County, a town with roots on the old Santa Fe Trail. The surrounding land is mostly pasture and cropland, and like much of eastern Kansas, it's in a constant fight with eastern red cedar and brush creeping out of fence lines and draws.

We clear pasture back to grass, remove hedge rows between fields, and open up acreage for homes, barns and shops. Cedars come out by the roots so they don't resprout, and debris is piled for burning, hauled or ground depending on what you prefer and what's allowed. On rocky ground we can break limestone ledges that get in the way of a building site or driveway.
