Pond Excavation in Concordia, MO
Concordia is on I-70 in eastern Lafayette County, about 80 miles east of our Shawnee shop, in farm country where ponds serve as livestock water, erosion control and fishing holes.
We start by finding a site with the right drainage and soil, then clear it, strip the topsoil, dig and shape the basin, compact the dam in layers and build a spillway. On cropland, a well-placed pond can also slow runoff that would otherwise cut gullies through a field. For livestock, we can plan a controlled access point or a fenced pond with a tank.
Because Concordia is a longer drive, we plan pond projects to finish in one mobilization and can combine them with clearing or grading. Your county soil and water district may offer cost-share on livestock water. For a free pond estimate in Concordia or eastern Lafayette County, call (913) 912-3820.
