Pond Excavation in Lyndon, KS
Lyndon is the Osage County seat, about 75 miles southwest of our Shawnee shop, between Pomona Lake and Melvern Lake. Even with big lakes nearby, landowners here still want their own water: stock ponds for cattle, fishing ponds near a cabin, or a pond to catch runoff from rolling pasture.
We start by finding the right site and checking that the soil will hold water. Then we clear the area, dig and shape the basin, build and compact the dam and set the spillway. Where limestone sits close to the surface, our rock breaker handles it on site. For fishing ponds, we can shape varied depths and a shallow shelf for habitat.
We plan Osage County projects to finish in one mobilization and can combine the pond with clearing, grading or a gravel drive. For a free pond estimate in Lyndon or the surrounding area, call (913) 912-3820.
